Murnau's Nosferatu is still my favorite German creepshow. Every year at about this time I try to work a viewing of the original (or the Herzog remake) into my schedule. This year was a special treat because I added the Kino restoration to my video collection. Everything you may have heard about this new version is true. It's amazing and yes, it's like watching the movie for the first time. Lots of movies inspire me to think without inspiring me to draw. This one had me scrambling for paper. I made these as creepy as I could. Hard to beat Max Shreck though.
